Can earwax removal improve ear pressure?

At Ear Wax Care, we want to give you top quality advice for how to look after your ears and deal with the symptoms of excess ear wax. If you have a lot of ear wax, you may find that you are suffering from a number of symptoms, including a feeling of fullness in your ear, and earache, and hearing loss. Feeling ear pressure is a common symptom of excess ear wax, and we know that this can be incredibly uncomfortable. That’s why we’re here to discuss the benefits or ear wax removal for improving ear pressure.

If you’ve tried at-home methods for removing excess ear wax, such as olive oil drops, then you may want to think about getting professional microsuction. Microsuction is the Gold Standard of ear wax removal and here at Ear Wax Care, we have a team of NHS trained Clinicians who want to help. Microsuction is a great option for removing your ear wax because it is safe, quick and relatively pain free.

During the procedure, the clinician will use a microscope to examine your ear canal. They will then insert a tiny suction tube into the canal and suction any blockage from the area. If you still experience blocked ears after microsuction, this is completely normal because the ear canal will swell slightly from the procedure. However, you don’t need to worry about this as the swelling will subside after a few days whilst the ears heal and your hearing returns to normal.
